14 laminating the deck

With board upside down, tape off hull bottom about 4cm from edge for lap, using 2 rows of 2" tape.

Flip board over.

Mark areas for reinforcement glass for over mast track, heel areas and hull sides.

Cut carbon reinforcement patches, regular glass for sides.

Wet out 2 sheets of full length cloth (1 S-glass, 1 E-glass).

Roll glass onto board.

Trim edges for lap to hull side. Cut notches at nose and tail to fit. Smooth glass out onto hull.

Add peel ply (add more resin as necessary).

Add perforated release film.

Flip board over to smooth down glass and tape down peel ply and release film.

Flip board back over. Locate footstrap screw holes, push nail through making holes through wet laminate.

Add Breather cloth, tape in place.

Place in vacuum bag. Let set.

Remove from bag, remove tape etc.

Carefully sand to tape line.
